Vitamin D testing is a valuable tool in assessing human and animal health, especially in relation to bone health and the immune system. Obvious levels of vitamin deficiency in the body can be associated with osteomalacia and rickets, as well as an increased risk of developing diabetes, multiple sclerosis and hypertension and various types of cancer in people who have not had adequate exposure to the sun or a balanced diet. For animals in particular, it is recommended to be tested when they are still young and growing, as early detection of deficiencies allows for effective interventions to maintain the health and vitality of the body.
Common analytical methods for the determination of vitamin D are complex methods, which tend to be expensive, laborious and technically difficult, such as RIA, ELISA, CLIA, ECL or HPLC-UV, GC-MS and LC-MS/MS.
With Ebram's vitamin D dosage kit, the scenario changes. Using the latex immunoturbidimetry methodology, the test can be carried out on any biochemical analyzer, from the simplest to the most robust, enabling human and veterinary laboratories to carry out the test without the need to invest heavily in machinery or manage partnerships with support laboratories to meet this demand.
The TURB VIT-D VITAMIN D Kit is versatile for human and animal samples, with high technical rigor regarding reagent quality. Fully automated, the kit requires no sample pre-treatment or pre-dilution steps, reduces laboratory costs and significantly reduces the TAT (time taken to deliver the result to the patient).
